Lise Gosseye is a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University. She studied English and Dutch Linguistics and Literature at Ghent University and Literary Studies at the Catholic University of Louvain. In 2011 she finished her PhD on the friction between religion, literature and science in Constantijn Huygens’ Ooghentroost (1647). She is currently turning her PhD into a book manuscript. Her fields of interest include early modern culture, New Historicism, religious studies, and literary theory. In her postdoctoral research project she focuses on early-modern religious literature. Her teaching includes a survey course in early-modern Dutch literature.
