Sarah Pardon is currently working as a predoctoral researcher at Ghent University. She studied Comparative Modern Literature at Ghent University and Literary Studies at the Catholic University of Louvain. Her research revolves around the mediation and construction of historical distance in a number of factual and fictional representations of the French Revolution. Her work focuses on an integration of theories on context and discourse from the linguistic turn with insights on the role of experience in narratives in the field of narratology. Her main interests are historical distance, historical experience, narratology and theories on the distinction between fact and fiction.
